Common Questions
Can I apply to more than one college in the group?
Yes, absolutely. If you are torn between studying A Levels at Strode or a T Level at Taunton, for example, you can apply to both. Our Admissions Team will guide you through your options at your interview so you can make the right choice.
Do I have to travel between different colleges and/or campuses for my course?
Generally, no. You will be based at the specific college you enrol at for your day-to-day timetable. However, being part of a wider group means you might occasionally visit our other sites for cross-college sports fixtures, special guest lectures, or major events.
How do I know which location is right for me?
Think about the environment you thrive in and the specific facilities you need. The best way to decide is to experience them firsthand! We highly recommend booking an Open Event at a couple of our locations to soak up the different atmospheres.
Can I stay with the group for university-level study?
You certainly can. University Centre Somerset (UCS) is a core part of our family. This means you can start a Level 2 course at any of our colleges and progress seamlessly all the way up to a full Bachelor’s Degree, without ever needing to leave the county.
