Professional Expectations

It is our aim to make each of our institutions a safe, pleasant, and healthy environment for everyone to live and work in. Our Professional Expectations outline the behaviour we expect from everyone.

Teaching, learning and working

We are committed to creating and maintaining a calm, supportive, and professional space for everyone to learn and grow.

We ask that you:

  • Contribute to a calm, professional learning environment
  • Promote excellent attendance and punctuality and let us know if you won’t be in or will be late
  • Value the importance of English and maths for your future success
  • Reflect, stay committed to your learning, and behave to professional standards
  • Prepare for your next steps — whether that’s employment, further study, or training
  • Wear the correct health and safety equipment or PPE in workshops and specialist spaces.

Holding ourselves accountable

If you feel we’re not living up to our promises, we encourage you to raise concerns; we’re here to listen and support. We’ll always do our best to put things right.

If a student is struggling to meet our expectations, we will respond through our College Positive Behaviour Procedure. This process is designed to be supportive and restorative, helping students to move forward positively.

By working together and respecting each other, we can all contribute to a college environment that is safe, supportive, and full of opportunity.
