Changing Lives Through Horses (CLTH) aims to support young people who may need additional support due to being disengaged, disadvantaged, or at risk of becoming excluded from education.
The programme works to develop six key life skills through equestrian activity:
- Communication
- Confidence
- Building relationships
- Teamwork
- Responsibility
- Perseverance.
There are two pathways available: The Achieve Award, and the Explorers Award. Both modules offer horse care and ride elements.
Using horses as the inspiration for change, the programme provides an alternative and complementary learning environment to mainstream education.
These sessions are for 14-17 year olds.
Dates and times
Runs every Thursday during term time, 9.30am – 1pm.
Cost
One session is £52.50 or block of 5 sessions for £235.
Each session includes a 40 minute ride, and a care session.
