📆 Monday 16th March
Hollie King, a talented automotive student from Somerset and a student at Bridgwater College, part of UCS College Group, has been recognised on the national stage after being named Learner of the Year at the IMI Annual Dinner and Awards 2026, held at the InterContinental London Park Lane in London.

Organised by the Institute of the Motor Industry, the awards celebrate the most outstanding individuals across the UK automotive sector and recognise those demonstrating exceptional dedication to their learning and professional development.

Hollie, a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance student, impressed judges with her academic excellence and outstanding commitment to the automotive industry. Alongside achieving top results in her IMI examinations, Hollie is also a highly accomplished motorsport competitor and a multiple national and European junior drag bike champion. Her dedication to both racing and her studies, combined with strong attendance and professionalism, helped secure the prestigious national title.

In recognition of her achievement, Hollie was also awarded a Fellowship of the Motor Industry Bursary, which will support her ongoing studies and future career development within the automotive sector.

Winning Learner of the Year is an incredible honour. I’m really proud to represent my college and the automotive industry, and I’m grateful for the support I’ve received throughout my studies.
